STAYING CENTERED UNDER STRESS WORKSHOP
Friday August 19th, 6 – 7:30PM
$25 – $35 sliding scale

Do you often rush? Having to make deadlines at work? In an emotional tight space? Busy bee? This special workshop integrates centering practices during any of your daily activities to take the sting out of your day.  You will learn what the grounding center is,  and how to get and stay connected with it to maintain a cool head and balanced energy.  We will practice the centering in several ways:  through breathing, mind/body exercises, visualization and awareness. Come learn how to integrate this mindfulness into everyday work.  All levels and abilities welcome.

Dear Clients, Students and Friends,

We are excited to inform you that Smart Moves Pilates and Yoga Center is restructuring and changing its name to Sun Studio for Pilates Yoga and Therapy. We will still be in our beautiful, sunny studio at 221 Pine Street #245, Florence, MA.

As of July 1, 2011, we are making a transition from a single owner with renters, to a member owned collective in which all the member/owners share responsibilities for the continuance of the studio.

The teachers you have known at Smart Moves – Sue Heffernan (Pilates), Jean Ida Hoffman (Pilates),  Arden Sundari Pierce (Yoga) and Laura Pravitz (Isadora Duncan Dance) – will remain, and are pleased to be joined by Megan Tady (Yoga)and Jeremy  Pauig (Occupational Therapy).

Occasionally, we will be renting the space  to others for special events.

Most importantly, you should know that we view this change as positive and invigorating. In our beautiful and sunny space, we look forward to continuing to bring you high quality instruction with renewed enthusiasm. Many of the class times that you are accustomed to are staying the same, with a few tweaks here and there. We will have an updated schedule for you, including our new offerings, available shortly.

Since word of mouth is the highest praise you can give us, we would appreciate any sharing of this news to anyone in your life who you think would be interested.

PARENT & BABY YOGA COURSES -

$42, sliding scale available. Each course consists of 3 classes. Babies can be 7 weeks to advanced crawling. Mondays led by Arden and Tuesdays led by Corinne Andrews.

Send a $15 non-refundable deposit or full payment to hold your place. Balance, less the deposit, must be paid by the start of the program by mail or in person at the studio. Receipt of payment will be confirmed.

Please do this soon; the programs have a MINIMUM and MAXIMUM capacity.

FINANCING: YFWB is committed to remaining affordable to as many as possible. Almost all programs offer sliding scale, payment plans and occasional barters. Please inquire.

REFUNDS: Before course begins, balance is 100% refundable. If you drop out after the course begins, 50% can be transferred or refunded. Deposit and missed classes are non-refundable.

MISSED CLASS: Make-ups can be only be done before the end of the program at another class time when available.

CLASS ETIQUETTE:

  • Wear comfortable clothes.
  • Equipment is provided, but bringing your own mat is encouraged for cleanliness.
  • Due to overuse of chemicals in our environment and beauty products, many people have sensitivity and some have severe reactions. Please refrain from wearing scented products; especially consider scented lotions & oils, colognes, perfumes and clothes dried with dryer sheets.
  • Refrain from eating a meal two hours before class, a light snack is okay an hour before
  • Bring valuables into the studio and turn off phones.
